The Wall Street Simulation: ESG Investment

Step into the shoes of an Asset Manager in this hands-on simulation workshop. Students will learn core ESG investment principles and apply them as you construct, manage, and rebalance equity portfolios under an ESG mandate. The session concludes with a performance review and an overview of career pathways in asset management.

Who Should Attend:
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines.
No prior finance experience is required, ideal for anyone keen to gain practical asset management exposure and explore careers in investment banking, hedge funds, and asset management.

Before the Workshop:

Pathway Simulation Competition:
This hybrid session will take place at YIH #03-05 Careerspace, with the trainer guiding the live simulation via Zoom.
Participants must bring their laptops to log in to the scheduled Pathway Live Simulation.

Zhang Xiaoyu
Xiaoyu has 13 years of international financial market and training experience. Prior to joining AmplifyME, he was a derivatives trader at Morgan Stanley in London. Xiaoyu has designed and delivered training programmes for top financial institutions and universities around the world, including Morgan Stanley, UBS, Temasek, and Citadel.

Xiaoyu’s behavioural finance paper was published in the European Journal of Applied Economics. Furthermore, he interacts with and teaches more than 8000 university students each year and is a passionate career coach.
