Smarter Job Search: Using AI Tools Effectively

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way people search for jobs, build professional brands, and prepare for recruitment processes. This workshop introduces students to practical ways of leveraging AI tools to enhance their job search and career preparation while maintaining authenticity and professionalism.

Participants will explore how AI can be used to strengthen resumes and online profiles, prepare for interviews, personalise networking outreach, conduct career research, and develop a compelling professional brand. The session will also examine the limitations, risks, and ethical considerations of AI-generated content, helping students use these tools responsibly and effectively.

Through practical examples and actionable tips, students will learn how to work smarter, improve efficiency, and navigate an increasingly AI-enabled hiring landscape without losing their unique voice and value proposition.

Who should attend:

  • Students who are new to AI tools and interested in learning how they can support job search and career preparation
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students looking to improve their career readiness and employability
  • Students seeking practical, hands-on strategies for using AI effectively and responsibly
