This workshop provides a practical introduction to employment contracts and part-time employment arrangements, equipping students with the knowledge to make informed career decisions and navigate workplace agreements with confidence.
Through real-world examples, interactive discussions and quizzes, participants will learn how to identify and interpret key employment terms, understand their rights and entitlements, and recognise important considerations before signing an employment contract.
Whether you are preparing for your first internship, part-time role, or full-time position, this session will help you better understand what to look out for and the questions you should be asking.

Rayner Teo
Rayner Teo is an experienced labour movement professional with over 12 years of experience spanning industrial relations, policy, and analysis. A fellow NUS graduate, he currently serves with the Attractions, Resorts & Entertainment Union, where he represents workers in the attractions, arts, and culture sectors. He also supports NTUC Youth in helping young people transition from school to work and engage meaningfully in labour-related activism.

Ms Jenna Chiew
Ms Jenna Chiew is a sociology graduate with experience across both the public and labour sectors. She began her career in the civil service, where she spent several enriching years with MCCY and MTI, before joining NTUC as an Industrial Relations Officer (IRO) and being seconded to a union. For nearly three years, she worked closely with employers and employees to navigate workplace challenges and achieve win-win outcomes. She is now excited to share the lessons and insights she has gained through her experience as an IRO.
