What does it take to solve a real-world business problem under time pressure? In this immersive, hands-on workshop by Accenture, you will experience a consulting challenge inspired by real assessment and project scenarios used within the industry.
Working in teams, participants will tackle an AI-driven business case that mirrors the complexity, ambiguity, and fast-paced nature of consulting engagements. Guided through a structured problem-solving process, you will learn how to analyse challenges, develop practical solutions, and communicate recommendations effectively while adapting to new information and evolving client needs along the way.
The workshop follows a three-phase consulting approach:
- Frame the problem: Understand the business challenge, identify key stakeholders, and define priorities.
- Design the solution: Collaborate with your team to develop an AI-enabled solution, leveraging prompt engineering and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Pitch your recommendations: Present your proposed solution to a panel of consultants and receive feedback on your approach and delivery.
Expect unexpected twists throughout the session that will test your ability to think critically, adapt quickly, and make decisions under pressure, skills that are highly valued in consulting and beyond.
By participating, you will:
- Experience how consultants approach real-world business challenges from problem definition to client presentation
- Develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and structured communication skills
- Gain hands-on experience using AI prompting as a professional problem-solving tool
- Understand how consulting firms assess talent and what recruiters look for in candidates
- Learn more about career pathways in consulting, strategy, and technology
- Connect with industry professionals and gain insights into the consulting profession
Who should attend:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in consulting, strategy, technology, or problem-solving roles
- Students looking to strengthen their case-solving and presentation skills
- Students curious about how AI can be applied to business challenges in a professional setting
No prior consulting experience is required, just bring your curiosity, creativity, and willingness to collaborate.
