East Japan Railway Company (JR East) is one of the world's largest railway operators, serving the Greater Tokyo Area and Eastern Japan. With a railway network of approximately 7,500 km, 12,000 trains in operation each day, and serving nearly 6 billion passengers yearly, JR East plays a vital role in supporting mobility and economic activities across Japan.
Beyond railway operations, JR East is evolving into a provider of Mobility & Lifestyle Solutions, with businesses spanning transportation, urban development, retail, tourism, digital services, and innovation. Major initiatives include the development of Takanawa Gateway City and collaboration with global innovation partners through projects such as NUS Enterprise's Block71 Tokyo.
