UBS Finance Challenge

We’re thrilled to share the launch of our 2025 Finance Challenge. The team has been running this stock pitch competition in China for 5 years and we’re excited to introduce a dual-track model in both Hong Kong and Greater China this year.

Eligibility

• To be eligible for the 2025 UBS Finance Challenge, participants must be an undergraduate, master's, or doctorate university student and scheduled to graduate between November 2026 and July 2028. There are no limitations on university, location, major, or class year.

Competition Timeline (more details available in the registration form)

• Form a team of 2 members to sign up for either track, pair trade two stocks (one long position and one short position) from the six sectors we listed in the instructions, and submit a presentation in English of no more than 20 pages (excluding appendices), explaining the long-short pair trade logic, industry outlook, company financials, valuation comparison, and other recommendations.
• The top 10 teams in each region will be invited to join the final presentation in the UBS Shanghai or Hong Kong offices, or virtually, during 21 May to 23 May 2025.
• The top 4 teams from each region will be invited to join the grand final presentation in-person in Shanghai on 8 June 2025.

Deadline

• Register your team by 6 April and submit your team proposal by 4 May.
