Empact is working on youth development programmes that create meaningful career opportunities and professional development experiences for young people in Singapore. We are currently running a programme under the National Youth Council (NYC)'s Discovery On My Way platform, featuring an exclusive Learning Journey with Stroke Support Station (S3).
This in-person learning journey, held at Enabling Village, is designed to provide students with direct exposure to the disability and healthcare sector. The session features:
- An introductory tour of S3's Centre for Stroke Recovery and introduction to their mission and impact story;
- Immersive hands-on workshop where students participate in a creative art-making session alongside stroke survivors (no art skills needed - just bring an open mind!); and
- Career insights fireside chat with professionals from across clinical, organisational development (HR or IT) and corporate (Partnerships, Communications and Media) functions, sharing real career journeys and insight into working in the disability sector
- A tour of the Enabling Village, to learn how the disability sector ecosystem operates in Singapore
