Leopard Cats in Singapore: The Last Wild Cat But Are They Here to Stay?

The mainland leopard cat is the last remaining wild cat species in Singapore after the national extinction of the tiger and leopard. However, with urbanisation and rapid development, leopard cats are a rare sight on our island. Research in NUS has revealed pockets of populations of these wild cats in remnant forest fragments and their secretive way of life in these isolated areas. What does the future hold for these survivors?

Join us to explore their fascinating world and participate in a fun and interactive quiz on leopard cats, deepening your understanding of these rare creatures!

This event is organised by our librarians Herman Felani and Gladys Toh.
