The Music library is situated on Level 1 of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music building and it is the youngest of all NUS Libraries. It opened in July 2006. 

A collection of print and electronic materials including music scores, CD and DVD titles, that covers the western art music tradition is easily accessible to cater to the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.

There are state-of-the-art listening and multimedia viewing stations as well as computers in the library. A small electronic piano is also in the library for the convenience of the Conservatory's students and researchers.

For directions, use  NUS Campus Map journey planner or  Google Map Journey Planner.

  • Take the MRT train to Clementi station (EW23), which is on the Green Line.
  • Walk to the bus interchange.
  • Take bus 96.
  • Alight at the bus-stop opposite YST Conservatory of Music.

Alternatively, take bus no. 33, 151, 183 or 188 and alight at bus-stops along Clementi Road (bus stop nos. 16131 and 16139), near Entrance A to the university. The Music Library is within walking distance of the bus-stops. Note that walkways from the bus stop are not sheltered from the sun and rain.

If you take the MRT and disembark at Kent Ridge station (CC24) on the Circle line (orange line), take the Internal Shuttle Bus which will take you to LKC Natural History Museum bus stop (no.16161). YST Conservatory of Music building is a few metres from the LKC Natural Museum.


When you are already in the NUS campus, you can take the Internal Shuttle Bus Service to all the libraries in the NUS Library system. For bus schedules and routes, see  NUS Internal Shuttle Bus Service (schedules and routes).
  • Take the Ayer Rajah Expressway (Tuas) and exit on Clementi Road.
  • Turn left into Entrance A.

The YST Conservatory of Music is on your left after the University Cultural Centre.

There are no really safe bicycle lanes to NUS Kent Ridge Campus except through Dover Road to University Town. Once you are in University Town, take Campus Link, which has a bicycle lane, to enter Kent Ridge. There are two other marginally safer ways to get on the Kent Ridge campus:

  • From Pasir Panjang Road, enter Heng Mui Keng Terrace, which leads to Kent Ridge Drive.
  • Enter Science Park I from Portsdown Ave (near Normanton Park). Exit at South Buona Vista Road, just outside the NUHS building.

Note that this can be a busy junction during morning and evening peak hours.

Central Library
Level 6 Reading Area will be open to NUS students and staff 24/7 from the evening of Monday, 14 April 2025 to the evening of Friday, 9 May 2025.

Level 4 will be temporarily closed from 15-17 May 2025 for CHS (FASS) Open House.
Medicine+Science Library
Level 1 Atrium and Level 2 Study Area are open to NUS staff and students 24/7.

Level 3 Quiet Study will be open to NUS staff and students 24/7 from the evening of Monday, 17 February 2025 to the evening of Friday, 9 May 2025.
Wan Boo Sow Chinese Library (雲茂潮中文图书馆)
Closed 1-hour before Central Library's closing time during term time.
