What's the difference between gimbap and popiah? And why should we never say gimbap is “Korean sushi”?
Roll up and join our gimbap Roll-volution, where you’ll discover the answer to these questions and more. Learn
to make your own yummy gimbap in a hands-on workshop with a healthy twist!
We’ll also have educational talks by lecturer Dr Chi Seowon and Principal Librarian Mi-Kyeong, who will share about the origin and history of gimbap,
and its role in Korean culture. Our friends from the Department of Food Science & Technology and Good Day Café will also be on hand to talk about what goes into making a healthy gimbap. Our team will wrap up the day by sharing where
and how you can access NUS Libraries’ wide range of resources on food science and technology.
Can’t wait to give it a whirl? Sign up for our educational talks and gimbap-making workshop, organised in collaboration
with NUSOne! Pay only $9.90 (students) / $19.90 (Staff), which includes a gimbap DIY toolkit and a free drink voucher (worth $5).
Payment details will be emailed to workshop participants, separately.
