Hedren is the Principal Librarian for Digital Scholarship at NUS Libraries. As an information scientist, he engages in research at the intersection of information science, art, history, design and society. Hedren was also recognised for using digital tools to visualise and communicate information. His work on digital knowledge interfaces has been presented globally, including in Singapore, Australia, China, Europe, the United States, and the United Nations. He was previously awarded a digital art history scholarship by the Getty Foundation and, more recently, a pilot study grant by the University of Sydney to explore 3D experience modelling and other visualisation methods for research. Hedren is also pursuing his PhD at the School of Art, Design and Media, NTU.
