Harnessing Strengths for Workplace Success

“What would happen if we studied what was right with people versus what’s wrong with people?” - Donald O. Clifton, Father of Strengths-Based Psychology

While we are often told to work on our weaknesses, research shows that leveraging our strengths leads to greater performance, confidence, and well-being. This workshop helps you understand how your strengths show up in daily life and how to harness them during internships and in the workplace.

Workshop Activities Will Help You:

  • Use your strengths to evaluate job fit and work environments.
  • Build your personal brand on LinkedIn and in interviews.
  • Apply your strengths to workplace scenarios to enhance effectiveness and collaboration.
  • Begin your strengths journey and discover how to thrive by doing what you do best.

Compulsory Requirements:
After registering on TalentConnect, you must complete the Teams Form, including up to three reasons/motivations for taking the CliftonStrengths assessment and joining the workshop. Selection (in oversubscribed cases) will be based on these responses.

Pre-Work:

  • All participants must complete the CliftonStrengths Assessment (fully subsidised; usual price S$30).
  • A personalised strengths report will be emailed to you once registered.
  • Please read your report and bring it to the workshop.

Note: A S$30 penalty applies for no-shows.

Who Should Attend

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students seeking deeper understanding of their strengths.

Spaces are limited. Priority is given to non-Business School students.
Business School students may join the waiting list.

This is a post-event workshop for NUS Career Fest 2026 and in collaboration with NUSOne.
