That's our message this year as our Book Adoption and Exchange Fair returns.
Adopt our books, exchange your pre-loved reads, and enjoy some snacks while you're at it.

This event is open to the public.
Come on down to NUS Central Forum (Outside NUS Central Library)
on 22 & 23 August 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm, both days!

By the way, bring your own bag for your new finds and your best book trade-ins!

Book Adoption Drive

Browse library books available for adoption and bring them home for free!

Bring your own books and swap your pre-loved books for a new read with other like-minded book lovers. Be ready to pitch your story to the crowd.

Too shy? No worries. You can opt to share your story in a more private setting. Let your book speak for itself, and you might just find the perfect new reader to swap your book with!

📖 The books we have are as-is, ready to find a new home!

📖 Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis; no reservation is allowed.

Additional notes:
📖 Bring no more than 3 books; both fiction and non-fiction are welcome. No magazines, DVDs, workbooks, etc.

📖 Please bring only books in good condition.

📖 As this is a book exchange and not a donation drive, please plan to bring back any books you brought that are not exchanged during the event.

📖 Unexchanged books will not be incorporated into our library collection. Any books left behind after the event will be handled at our discretion.
