In Singapore, “kaki” is a Malay word often used to mean a close friend or buddy - so Library Kakis simply means “close friends of the library”!
Library Kakis is our community of students and staff who’ve collaborated or helped out with NUS Libraries, and want to stay connected with us. We’ll share stories from fellow Kakis, highlight their unique learning experiences, and share opportunities to collaborate on exciting upcoming projects.
Whether you’ve helped digitise a collection, run an event, or simply love being part of our libraries, this is our way of recognising how you’ve helped to shape what our libraries can be.
