In recent years, there has been an increased push for sharing research data and making it accessible to the wider research community. While funder mandates are a commonly cited reason for data sharing, researchers can also reap many benefits, including higher citation counts, greater research visibility and impact, and reduced duplication of research, amongst others.

Librarian
Siti Nur Fairuz is a Librarian at NUS Libraries, where she specializes in providing support for researchers in scholarly communication and research data management. Leveraging her academic background, she bridges the gap between complex research workflows and best practices in research data management, helping the NUS community navigate the evolving landscape of scholarly publishing and data stewardship. Fairuz earned her Bachelor’s degree and PhD in Chemistry from NUS.

All NUS staff and students are welcome.
