Located at Central Library Level 4, the space is a partnership with NUS Graduate School, taking the NUS community on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth through exhibitions, curated books and community activities.

Francesca Picucci
Final-year PhD Student, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine
Originally from the U.K., Francesca is a PhD student at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Her research focusses on the effects of cannabis and cannabinoids in cancer. After winning the NUS ORIA scholarship, Francesca spent 12 months of her PhD researching at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston. This meant she navigated new cities, cultures and making new friends in two international cities over the past 4 years.

Emmerson Hondo
Final-year PhD Student, College of Design and Engineering
Emmerson Hondo is a final-year PhD candidate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore, affiliated with the Linga Lab. His research centers on hydrogen storage via clathrate hydrates, contributing to low-carbon energy innovations. As an international scholar, he brings strong cross-cultural collaboration skills and academic resilience. He also serves on the NUS Graduate Peer Support team, promoting student well-being and global scientific dialogue.

Naomi Michiko
Fourth-year PhD Student, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine
Naomi Michiko is a fourth-year PhD candidate with the Human Potential Translational Research Programme at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She is particularly interested in examining the effects of exertional heat stress on the brain and physical performance. Currently, she is investigating heat acclimatisation as a potential strategy to combat heat-induced neural impairments during exercise. Beyond academia, Naomi serves as an NUS graduate peer student supporter and is on a personal journey to reconnect with her Japanese roots, having grown up in Singapore.

Ng YiQiang
International Students Coordinating Office, Office of Student Affairs (OSA)
YiQiang spent his university days living among international students and actively organising student activities in his hall of residence. His passion for people-centred work led him to pursue a decade-long career as a social worker, providing psychosocial support to patients and their families in the hospital setting. He now draws on these experiences to support the wellbeing of international students as they navigate and integrate into campus life.
