Always wanted to get into the habit of reading but distractions keep getting in the way? Come join The Reading Club!

This is a community of new readers and curious minds coming together to reconnect with the simple joys of reading and discovery. Every semester, our librarians will work with The Reading Club (TRC) to curate a list of recommended titles that the community will enjoy together for the rest of the semester.

If you fancy joining a no-pressure, student-driven community like this, then pull up a chair and join us to read, reflect and connect!

After two rounds of book selection and voting – we will be reading  Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro this semester! Here are the sessions you can look forward to:

  • Session 1: 9 Sep 2026, 12 noon
    Cultivating a reading culture
  • Session 2: 7 Oct 2026, 12 noon
    TRC community sharing & discussion
  • Session 3: 4 Nov 2026, 12 noon
    Guest speaker & TCR reflections

TRC members will need to attend all three sessions.

Keen to join our inaugural run? Book your spots before 30 Aug 2026. Successful members invited to join TRC will be informed by 31 Aug 2026 via email.

Hit meow to signal your interest right now!
