About NUS Libraries

National University of Singapore (NUS) Libraries is the largest academic and research library in Singapore with a rich collection of over 3 million volumes covering a wide range of languages, disciplines, and subjects, housed in seven libraries spread across campus.

Headquartered in NUS Central Library, at the heart of the Kent Ridge Campus, NUS Libraries plays a pivotal role in partnering the NUS community to advance scholarship and research, by providing information resources, knowledge networks and interactive platforms.

Notably, NUS Libraries is the steward and repository of national and regional heritage, hosting collections that include rare books dating back to the 14th century, irreplaceable material salvaged from the Japanese Occupation of Singapore in World War 2, and the world-renowned Singapore/Malaysia Collection which offers broad and in-depth coverage of the economic, geographical, historical, political and social development of Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as an entity.

About NUS Museum

As a university museum, NUS Museum’s mission is to actively facilitate intellectual and cultural life within and beyond the University. With a distinct focus on Asia, the Museum contributes to and facilitates the production, reception, and preservation of knowledge through collections development and curatorial practice.

The Museum is a cultural hub, developing partnerships within NUS, the culture and heritage industry, and the global knowledge community.

Located at the University Cultural Centre, NUS Museum comprises nine galleries and additional ancillary spaces which host a wide range of exhibitions, module collaborations and supporting programmes that contribute to the cultural and interdisciplinary conversation within NUS and beyond.
