Dr Mark GAN is Associate Director at the Centre for Development of Teaching and Learning (CDTL), where he works closely with faculty members to enhance teaching and learning in NUS. As an educational developer, Mark helps colleagues from different faculties and schools in developing their teaching portfolios, writing proposals for educational grants and awards and collaborating on teaching inquiry projects. He also supports undergraduate, postgraduate and full-time teaching assistants to develop and improve their teaching practices.
Mark’s main research interest is in feedback and its effect on teaching and learning. He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Auckland, supervised by Professor John Hattie.
During his free time, he likes reading, playing basketball and learning how to be better at watercolour painting.
