Signature Programme: The Hawker Culture Series

Did you know? On 16 December 2020, Singapore’s Hawker Culture became our first entry on the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. That’s right—our beloved makan spots are world-famous!

This semester, NUS Libraries presents the Hawker Culture Series—a deep dive into the stories, sounds, and smells of our beloved heritage, featuring experts from our very own community.

  Join a lively panel of hawkers—spanning seasoned stall owners to new hawkerpreneurs—as they share candid insights into the challenges and triumphs of sustaining Singapore's hawker culture.
