This page allows you to self-verify the OpenCerts, Verifiable PDF document for electronic scroll and/or electronic transcript issued by NUS.
How to verify NUS OpenCerts or NUS Verifiable PDF file (degree scroll or/and transcript)? |
What happen if you can’t verify or view the file? |
- Drag and drop or upload the .opencert file into the space below.
- You may use the OpenCerts website (opencerts.io) to verify the OpenCert file.
- Readable degree scroll and/or transcript information (if applicable for the degree) will be rendered and displayed. This means that the e-documents are verified as authentic.
It is best viewed using the latest version of Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Safari browsers.
If you need to verify graduates with no OpenCerts or Verifiable PDF file, in particular those conferred/awarded before March 2006, please click here for more details.

If a file is shown as ‘not valid’ and can’t be viewed after you upload or drag and drop it at the space below, this could be due to one of the reasons below:
- The PDF file is a normal PDF document and not in verifiable PDF format.
- The OpenCert file is accidentally being edited by candidate during the downloading process and it is not in the original .opencert extension.
- The PDF file or OpenCert file has been tampered and could not be rendered.
Please request the graduate to provide the original OpenCert file or Verifiable PDF file.
If you are not able to validate the e-degree scroll, please write to degverify@nus.edu.sg with the graduate’s full name (as per degree scroll or transcript) and date of birth (in DD-Month-YYYY format) to seek clarification.
