The University does not normally issue a replacement degree scroll if the original one is destroyed or misplaced. Instead, a letter certifying that the student is a graduate of the University will be issued. For information on certification letters, please refer to the Letters website.

The degree scroll reflects the following:
  • Student’s Official Name1
  • Degree Title
  • Primary Majoronly (if applicable)
  • Degree Classification (if applicable)
  • Conferment Date3

Note1: The official name must be same as what is reflected on your NRIC or Passport at the time of conferment. Any name changes must be informed before a student is conferred/awarded his/her degree. The University does not normally change the official name once a student has been conferred/awarded their degrees. Please refer to the Graduation website (see ‘Important Information for Conferred/Awarded Students’) for more details.

Note2: Students who complete a Double Major, Specialization and/or Minor successfully will receive one degree scroll, for the Primary Major only. The Second Major, Specialization and/or Minor will, however, be recorded in the transcript. Please refer to the Double Major Programmes website for more details on Double Major.

Note3: Graduating students may complete their graduation requirements upon passing their final examinations but are only considered as “graduated” after they have been officially conferred their degrees. Please refer to the Graduation website (see ‘Degree Conferment’ and ‘Graduation Status’) for more details.

There is only one copy of the degree scroll issued per degree (please see ‘Can I get a replacement of my degree scroll’ above).

One complimentary hard copy official transcript will be issued with the degree scroll. You may request for additional copies of the official transcript at a fee. Please refer to the Official Transcripts website for more details.
