Dialogue in the Dark

On 19 February 2025, Helixians once again embarked on the unforgettable Dialogue in the Dark tour at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Marking the third consecutive semester of this signature event, participants were immersed in a world of complete darkness, guided by visually impaired facilitators through everyday scenarios: crossing streets, reading Braille, dining in a café, relying solely on their senses of touch, hearing, and smell.

This eye-opening experience not only challenged perceptions but also sparked deep empathy and reflection. Helixians walked away with a renewed appreciation for the strength and adaptability of the visually impaired, and a powerful reminder of the importance of empathy, understanding, and inclusion in our daily lives.

2Dialogue in the Dark inspired Helixians to value inclusivity.
