From Breakfast Tables to Blank Canvases: Our Homescapes 6.0
Next time you’re in Basement 1, be sure to stop by the Baking Room and take in the beauty of our freshly painted mural! Designed by Lynn Ng (Year 3 Anthropology), this artwork is a tribute to Singapore’s rich heritage. Inspired by the traditional Singaporean breakfast and iconic artifacts, like the vintage mosaic tables found under HDB void decks, it captures the essence of shared memories and mealtimes.
Helixians came together on 27th and 28th August 2025 to bring Lynn’s vision to life. The experience of leaving their mark on the mural, literally and figuratively, was a truly special one for both new and returning residents. This new piece does not just complement the existing artworks at Helix House, but it also perfectly encapsulates the dynamic spirit of our community. It reflects the values of camaraderie, connection, and shared experiences that Helixians hold dear, as our DNA is what binds us.
