The Temasek Foundation – Union Scholarship, funded by the Temasek Foundation, is awarded to students of all ages, including mature students, from lower income backgrounds. Scholarship recipients should demonstrate academic excellence, high intellectual
capacity and strong leadership potential. As part of the award, a family or household member will receive a family recognition award.
Interested students should apply for both NUS Scholarships and NUS Financial Aid in the year they are matriculating, to be considered for the scholarship.

- Have good co-curricular activities record
- Possess outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE A Level, local Polytechnic Diploma, International Baccalaureate Diploma, NUS High School Diploma or equivalent qualifications
- Applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS
- Matriculating in the year of application
- Transfer applicants from local or overseas universities are not eligible
- S$5,000 per year to the scholarship recipient
- S$2,000 per year to a family member/guardian nominated by the scholarship recipient
- Bond-free scholarship
- The Scholarship is awarded to freshmen pursuing a full-time undergraduate programme at NUS, and is tenable for the normal candidature period. No change in the programme of study may be made or additional programme(s) taken up by the Scholar without prior written approval from the NUS scholarship administrator.
- Scholarship recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award, allowance, waiver or free aid without prior approval from the University.
- The scholarship will be renewed every semester, provided the scholarship recipient maintains a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.50 or grades that are within the top 80% of their cohort for Dentistry, Law and Medicine scholarship recipients, and has good conduct.
- If the scholarship recipient decides to withdraw from the University and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, the University reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed to the scholar.

- Only applicants who submitted complete applications for NUS Scholarships and NUS Financial Aid will be considered for the Scholarship.
- Applicants are required to submit the following:
- Upload supporting documents such as co-curricular activities record at the scholarship uploading facility.
- Submit one referee report online (to be submitted separately by your Junior College/Polytechnic/High School Principal or Tutor).

- Applicants will be assessed for scholarship suitability based on the strength of their application and their performance in the scholarship selection interview(s), if shortlisted.
- Applicants shortlisted for selection interview(s) will be informed via e-mail. Selection interview(s) will be conducted between June or July, and applicants will be informed of their scholarship application outcomes by July. To be considered for the scholarship, please ensure that you are available to attend the interview(s). Your scholarship application will be withdrawn if you are unable to attend any scheduled selection interview(s) without valid reason(s).
- NUS reserves the right to not award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
