The NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship is offered to support exceptional international students from all countries (except Singapore) with outstanding achievements.
Candidates will be considered and shortlisted for the scholarship through their application for undergraduate admission to NUS.

- Applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS
- Transfer applicants from local or overseas universities are not eligible
- Subsidised tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant Subsidy)
- S$5,800 annual living allowance
- S$1,750 one-time computer allowance upon enrolment
- S$5,000 annual accommodation allowance
- The scholarship is awarded to freshmen pursuing a full-time undergraduate programme at NUS. The scholarship also covers students in Double Degree and Joint Degree Programmes, and covers only the undergraduate programme for students in Concurrent Degree Programmes (the scholarship coverage will cease once scholar is charged graduate tuition fees). The scholarship does not cover students in the Concurrent Degree Programme in NUS Bachelor of Science and University of Melbourne Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
- The scholarship is tenable for the normal candidature period, and can be transferred across programmes.
- While there is no bond attached to the NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship, students are required to take up the MOE Tuition Grant to receive the scholarship. Singapore Permanent Residents and international students who take up the MOE Tuition Grant will be bonded under the terms of the Tuition Grant - to work for a Singapore-registered company for three years immediately after graduation. Scholarship recipients admitted to Dentistry and Medicine will be required to undertake a service bond with the Singapore Ministry of Health for five and six years respectively.
- Scholarship holders may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance, without prior approval from the University.
- The scholarship will be renewed every semester provided the scholarship holder maintains a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 (or equivalent) or grades that are within the top 80% of their cohort for Dentistry, Law and Medicine scholarship recipients, and has good conduct.
- NUS does not guarantee and/or provide scholarship holders with employment upon graduation.
- If the scholarship recipient decides to withdraw from the University and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, the University reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed to the scholar.
- All eligible students applying for undergraduate admission to NUS will be considered for this scholarship. Suitable applicants will be separately invited to submit a scholarship application.
- Invited applicants are required to submit records of their co-curricular activities and other achievements in the scholarship application.
- Invited applicants will be assessed for scholarship suitability based on the strength of their application.
- Only applicants shortlisted for the selection interview(s) will be informed via e-mail. Selection interview(s) will be conducted from January to July, and interviewed candidates will be informed of the scholarship outcomes by mid-July.
- NUS reserves the right to not award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
