Schemes for Tuition Fees and/or Living Costs

MENDAKI Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy


The scheme is to help financially needy full-time undergraduate students, who are Singapore Citizens and whose race or the first component of the double-barrelled race stated in their NRIC is MALAY (which includes Boyanese, Javanese, Banjarese, Bugis, and Indonesian Extract), pay for up to 100% of their subsidised tuition fee.

Undergraduates with a monthly household per capita income (PCI) not exceeding S$2,000 will be eligible for:

  • 100% subsidy of tuition fees if PCI is S$1,400 and below;
  • 75% subsidy of tuition fees if PCI is between S$1,401 and S$1,700; and
  • 50% subsidy of tuition fees if PCI is between S$1,701 and S$2,000.

  • Singapore Citizens or bona fide residents of Singapore with one parent (including adoptive parent and step-parent), living or deceased, is a Singapore Citizen
  • Race or the first component of the double-barrelled race stated in the student’s NRIC is MALAY (which includes Boyanese, Javanese, Banjarese, Bugis, and Indonesian Extract)
  • Monthly PCI of the undergraduate does not exceed S$2,000
  • Undergraduates receiving the MOE Tuition Grant
  • Students pursuing their first degree on a full-time basis

Yayasan MENDAKI will release the application results as indicated in the below table.

Application period for new students matriculating in the following semesters are shown in the table below. Applicants are required to submit an online application on the Yayasan MENDAKI website here

Please note that new students are to apply for the scheme only after they have accepted the offer of admission, while current students can apply only in Semester 1.
