Admissions Appeals

Appeal

To appeal against your application outcome or change your offered programme(s), you may submit an appeal via the Applicant Portal from 23 May (10am SGT) to 28 May (11:59pm SGT) 2024. Please note that you will need your Application Number and PIN to log in to the portal. Only applicants who have received an admission outcome for their applications are eligible to submit an appeal. You may submit multiple appeals, but only the last online appeal received by 28 May 2024 will be considered.

The decision on your application was made after careful consideration on the basis of your academic and non-academic achievements, and keen competition for limited vacancies. Therefore, appealing for the same programme choices would be highly unlikely to change the University's prior decision.

An appeal for admission should be submitted only if you have additional information regarding your academic and non-academic achievements that was not presented in your earlier application.

In the appeal form, you may state your reasons for appeal within 100 words or 500 characters, whichever is lower. It is important to provide a concise summary as the length of your appeal reason does not enhance your chances of success.

The Office of Admissions coordinates with the respective NUS Colleges/Faculties/Schools for admission appeals. To avoid delays in the appeal process, you should not send appeals to multiple parties within NUS. The outcome for appeals will be released progressively within 3 calendar weeks. You will receive an email notification for your appeal outcome, which will also be available online via the Applicant Portal.

If you have received admission offers from other universities and wish to submit an appeal, it is advisable to accept one of the offers while waiting for the outcome of your appeal. Please be aware that your NUS offer will lapse if you do not accept it within the deadline stipulated on your electronic offer letter.

Appeal for NUS Medicine and Dentistry will not be considered unless you have been shortlisted for assessment earlier.

If you wish to transfer out of NUS College while remaining in the same offered degree programme(s), you should not use the portal to submit your appeal. Instead, please contact the Office of Admissions at https://www.askadmissions.nus.edu.sg/.
