All applicants are required to submit an online application via Applicant Portal, upload all supporting documents and make the application fee payment during the application window period.
Follow the steps below on how to apply for admissions to NUS undergraduate programmes:
- Read up on NUS programmes offered. Shortlist your choices and check that you fulfil the programme prerequisites.
- Use our interactive guide to find out which applicant group you should select and take note of the application period. Do note that applications submitted with an incorrect qualification type will not be processed.
- Based on the qualification you are presenting, refer to the Application Guide and Sample Form to prepare the information and documents required for your undergraduate admission application to NUS.

Refer to Important Dates for the application period and submit an online application via Applicant Portal by the closing date of your qualification group. Each applicant should submit only one application form.
Your application is completed upon:
- Receiving an email titled “Acknowledgement of Application to NUS Undergraduate Programmes” after submission. Do check your Junk/ Spam email folders
- Submitting all supporting documents via Applicant Portal
- Making the application fee payment
A non-refundable application fee of $10 (all applicants except International Students with International Qualifications) or S$20 (International Students with International Qualifications), inclusive of prevailing Goods & Services Tax, is charged for each application to NUS undergraduate programmes (except Music). Payment must be made by the application closing date.
Payment can only be made electronically via Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, AliPay, or PayNow through the 'Pay Application Fee' facility on the Applicant Portal after submitting your application. Please note other forms of payment, such as overseas debit card, cash, bank transfer, internet banking or NETS are not accepted.
The payment status will be updated one working day after the payment has been received. This payment processing time will still apply to payments made on the application closing date.
Applicants must ensure that only one payment is made, as duplicate or multiple payments are non-refundable. Applicants are responsible for confirming the payment status before attempting another payment.
An incomplete submission will affect the application outcome.
Updating of Applicant Information
You may log in to the Applicant Portal to update the following information before the application closing date of your qualification group:
- Contact information
- Choice of study
- Achievements and answers to short response questions
- Household income

No further changes will be entertained after the application closing date.
This section is only applicable to:
- Applicants taking the IB Diploma May 2026 Examinations
- Authorise the IB to release the IB Diploma Transcript to NUS by 7 July 2026.
- Polytechnic Diploma applicants graduating in 2026
- An email containing the submission procedures will be sent after the release of the final semester exam results.
- Applicants who will be sitting for Advanced Placement Test, Gaokao, HKDSE, Indian Standard 12 (CBSE and ISC Examination Boards) and STPM in 2026
- Update and submit your actual results within 3 calendar days upon the release of results to the NUS Office of Admissions.
- Updating and submission of your final examination results can be made via the Applicant Portal. Internet print-out of your results can be accepted provisionally. The print-out must clearly reflect your full name. Multiple and duplicate submissions of document(s) will affect the processing and outcome of your application.

After you apply, you can log in to the Applicant Portal to check for updates on your application. You can view remarks from the Office of Admissions and track your application outcome.
You can also download the uNivUS app and log in as an applicant to track your application there!
Admissions outcomes will be released progressively between March and July (based on qualification group).

If your application is successful, you are required to accept the offer online via the Applicant Portal by the stipulated deadline given in the electronic offer letter. Otherwise, your offer will lapse.
The electronic offer letter will indicate if you are offered admission as a full fee-paying student; otherwise, it means that the offer includes the MOE Tuition Grant.
The conditions of offer and other useful information pertaining to enrolment can be found on the acceptance portal indicated in the electronic offer letter.
More detailed instructions on online acceptance is provided in Pre-Enrolment Information. Please read the instructions carefully before accepting the offer.
Acceptance indicated through the Joint Acceptance Portal (JAP) will be reflected on Applicant Portal, three calendar days after the acceptance deadline.
You are advised to accept the offer while waiting for an appeal outcome or outcome from another university.
Note: If your application is successful, the electronic offer letter will serve as the official document from the University. No hardcopy offer package / email will be sent to you. Therefore, remember to download and save a copy of your electronic offer letter as it will only be available until August of the year of application.
Successful applicants who received and accepted NUS offer can expect to begin their studies at NUS at the start of the academic year after completing their freshman registration.
