Regardless of nationality, applicants presenting the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level results, including full-time National Servicemen (NSF) who have a programme reserved in NUS and wish to change programmes, may apply under this category.
Online application has commenced on 23 February 2024, 4pm following the release of the 2023 Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level results. Application deadline is 19 March 2024.
You are strongly encouraged to read the Application Guide before applying.
Please ensure that you:
- Meet the prerequisites of programmes you are applying for,
- Complete all relevant sections of the application form before submission,
- Allocate sufficient time to apply, submit supporting documents (if applicable) and make application fee payment (S$10) by 19 March 2024.
Your application will only be considered after you complete the application process. This includes:
- successful submission of online application form,
- receiving an email titled “Acknowledgement of Application to NUS Undergraduate Programmes”,
- submission of relevant supporting documents and
- successful payment of the S$10 application fee.
An incomplete application will affect the outcome of your application.
With effect from 2021, NUS has introduced MyInfo, a service that allows SingPass users to manage their personal data and use government-verified data retrieved across participating Government agencies to pre-fill forms.
Eligible applicants are strongly encouraged to use MyInfo to pre-fill their personal details.
Depending on the programme(s) you have applied for, interview(s) and/or selection test(s) may be required.
The Admission Selection Committee will consider your application based on academic merits and choice of programmes before releasing an outcome online by 3rd week of May.
Please submit the MTL result slip to the Office of Admissions by 19 March 2024 if you belong to one of the following categories:
- You have taken or re-taken your MTL examination at a different sitting from your 2023 Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-level examinations and/or
- You have obtained a better score for your MTL examination at a different sitting from your 2023 Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-level examinations;
- Offering a non-Tamil Indian Language (namely Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu)
Submit your PSLE or GCE ‘O’ Level MTL result together with the GCE A-Level MTL result slip.
- Offering an approved Foreign Language (FL) (French, German, and Japanese) or Asian Language (AL) (Arabic) in-lieu of MTL
Submit your GCE O-Level FL or AL result slip together with your GCE A-Level FL or AL result slip if you have been given approval by Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) to offer an FL in-lieu of MTL.
- Offering a non-language GCE A-Level subject-in-lieu (SIL) of MTL
Submit the letter issued by MOE to us, indicating the approved GCE A-Level SIL of MTL if you are offering a non-language SIL of MTL. Since 2003, MOE has ceased to offer SIL of MTL. As such, MOE should have given you an exemption if you are not eligible to offer a MTL at your GCE O and/or A-Level examination.
- Exemption of MTL at GCE A-Level examination
You are exempted from offering MTL at GCE A-Level examination if you belong to one of the following categories:
- Students who have been given approval by MOE for exemption from offering MTL at GCE O-Level examination.
- Students who have offered Burmese / Thai Language at GCE O-Level examination.
You are required to submit the letter of exemption (issued by MOE).
Inaccurate, false information or omission of material information will render your application invalid. NUS reserves the right to reject applications that are incomplete or inaccurate. Students admitted on the basis of inaccurate or false information may be expelled.
