Singapore is among 39 countries worldwide that have banned vapes and since its implementation in 2018, there has been debate about the effectiveness of Singapore’s ban on vapes, and if more must be done to deter youths from vaping. Assoc Prof Ho Han Kiat, from the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Science at NUS; and Dean of Students, discusses toxicological insights that can address a few pertinent questions.
