With higher operating costs and planned increases to the Goods and Services taxes, financial pressures are mounting for both public transport operators and the public. Assoc Prof (Practice) Terence Ho, from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, mulls over how the burden of higher costs should be shared in a fair and sustainable manner while maximising the public good.
