As all three major engines of the global economy – the US, China and the European Union – go about trying to balance national security with trade and investment, Mr Bert Hofman, Director of the East Asia Institute at NUS and Prof (Practice) at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS opined that the world economy is at risk of fragmentation.
