The onset of COVID-19 has accelerated the expansion of digital trade flows within and across countries. Yong Pung How Professor Ramkishen S. Rajan from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, and Assistant Professor Sasidaran Gopalan from United Arab Emirates University highlighted that moving towards a globally harmonised system of governance regulating cross-border digital flows would ensure that the digital transformation revolution would contribute to shared global prosperity in the post-pandemic world.
