In Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s speech at a recent Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Singapore Perspectives conference, he highlighted three challenges relating to work - changing nature of work, retirement security and income distribution. Mr Wong also spoke about corresponding responses to these challenges. While those aims are not new, what struck Associate Professor in Practice Terence Ho from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS was the opportunity we have to transform society by making work better.
